Volunteers are needed for this Saturday & Sunday at the Red Cross distribution center in Somerset, NJ (Off of Easton Avenue, 287). The organization will lose many of their out of state volunteers as they begin to head home before the Thanksgiving travel rush. Assistance is needed loading trucks that will distribute the supplies to the affected areas in NJ that need it. The center will be open from 7 am to 6 pm. You can just show up and sign up. Organizing individuals, schools and church or synagogue groups who would be interested in a one day clean-up project to remove as much trash as possible from the shoreline and surrounding area. First Clean up Saturday May 18th, 9-1 p.m. Materials will be provided and hopefully we can get some refreshments donated.
